Ancient Murrelet Synthliboramphus antiquus
This seabird nests in burrows or rock crevices and is the only seabird that raises its young exclusively at sea. After hatching, the downy chicks do not get fed until they enter the sea with their parents. Widespread throughout the north Pacific, the Ancient Murrelet nests colonially. They are sensitive to dog and raccoon marauding their nests.
